On June 14, the 2nd SDLG Love of Revolutionary Base Precision Poverty Alleviation, themed on “heartfelt gratitude to revolutionary bases”, was kicked off in Zunyi in Guizhou Province. The inauguration ceremony was attended by SVP & Secretary General Su Zimeng of China Construction Machinery Association, Researcher Xin Chenhua of the Department of Equipment in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, SDLG President Yu Mengsheng, and local dealers, more than 100 industry insiders in construction machinery and representatives of impoverished people.
2019 SDLG Love of Revolutionary Base Precision Poverty Alleviation will continue to focus on revolutionary bases and organize precision poverty relief activities in Zunyi, Ruijin, Huining, Xibaipo and Yimeng Mountains, etc. SDLG will, relying on its strong points in construction machinery industry, provide training programs to improve vocational skills of trainees, build poverty-alleviation bases to create more jobs, and make measures such as tutor guidance, entrepreneurship partner system and business support, etc. to generate wealth and start business. SDLG will donate excavators to the impoverished people who have made contributions to the nation and who find it difficult to get out of poverty, so as to help them out of poverty and make wealth.

SDLG will stay on the path of precision poverty alleviation with industrial characteristics and make innovations, so as to help each impoverished family hoping to work with construction machines to get out of poverty realize their dreams.

Love of Revolutionary Base Precision Poverty Alleviation is the bold attempt and innovative practice to respond to the appeal of CPC General Secretary and implement the principles set in the 19th CPC National Congress. SDLG President Yu Mengsheng and Vice Director-General Liu Wenshun donated excavators to two impoverished people, so as to help them gain the core competency to get out of poverty and live a decent life.
Wang Jian, one of the donation recipients, is an army veteran. He said, “My service period benefits my entire life, builds my strong will and gives me confidence to face life and live through all difficulties”. However, he is heavily hit by real life after his retirement from the army. His parents are getting old and inflicted by diseases; his wife loses labor ability due to TB. He still has two kids to raise. His family lives on him alone, who works on the farm and does some odd jobs.
Luckily, he is reached by SDLG’s Love of Revolutionary Base Precision Poverty Alleviation. “I will live up to support and help from the society. I will try my best to get out of poverty and share my experience so as to help more people like me to create a better life.”
Giving the poor people money is less effective than giving them the tool of making money.
